Inbetweeners creator confirms plans for film sequel

It’s the news that some us benders….I mean, Inbetweeners fans have been waiting for.

Following the brilliant success of last year’s blockbuster hit The Inbetweeners Movie, co-creator Damon Beesley has revealed that a film sequel is in the works as reported by The Sun.

“I don’t want to give too much away at this stage but yes, we have been developing an idea for a sequel. We miss working with Simon, Joe, James and even Blake too much not to give it a go.”

While a lot of people don’t trust The Sun for obvious reasons, Beesley’s fellow co-creator Iain Morris confirmed the speculation via his Twitter account.

“Yes, but it’s far from signed and like Damon said we want to make sure we have a good enough story to tell.”

The film’s four main actors (Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley and Blake Harrison) are supposedly set to earn £2.5 million for the sequel after getting up to £500,000 in total from the first film.

The Inbetweeners universe has been expanding itself in recent times with the British version of the film finally set for its US release next month while the American version of the show made its debut on MTV last night with plans for a US film version also occurring. Plenty of Inbetweeners clunge to go around then!
