The official trailer for Knives Out is here.
Loosely-based on the Agatha Christie whodunits, the upcoming murder-mystery comedy comes from the mind of skilled filmmaker Rian Johnson (Looper, Star Wars: The Last Jedi).
The plot centres on Benoit Blanc, a famed Kentucky private detective who is mysteriously enlisted to investigate the death of wealthy novelist Harlan Thrombey. Suspecting foul play, Blanc seeks to ascertain the circumstances of Thrombey’s death, only to encounter trouble from the man’s dysfunctional family.
In what looks to be a far-cry from his hit role as 007 in the James Bond series, British actor Daniel Craig (Layer Cake, Defiance) leads the film as Blanc and is joined by a starry support cast that includes Chris Evans (Captain America: Civil War, Gifted), Ana de Armas (War Dogs, Blade Runner 2049), Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween, A Fish Called Wanda), Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road, Boardwalk Empire), Don Johnson (Miami Vice, Django Unchained), Toni Collette (The Sixth Sense, Hereditary), LaKeith Stanfield (Atlanta, Sorry to Bother You), Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why, Love, Simon), Jaeden Martell (The Book of Henry, It), and Oscar winner Christopher Plummer (The Sound of Music, Beginners).
Knives Out will make its way to UK cinemas on 27 November.
