With Iron Man and Thor already back on the big-screen this year, another Avenger is making his return as Steve Rogers/Captain America stars in his own Marvel sequel in 2014.

Portrayed again by Chris Evans, the pro-American superhero continues to come to terms with living in the modern era in the official trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Helmed by director siblings Anthony and Joe Russo, the film sees Rogers reunite with fellow Avenger Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and new sidekick ‘The Falcon’ (The Hurt Locker’s Anthony Mackie) as they attempt to save the world from a powerful, new enemy.

Samuel L. Jackson is also back as S.H.I.E.L.D agent Nick Fury while veteran Oscar-winning actor Robert Redford (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting) makes his Marvel debut as Head of S.H.I.E.L.D Alexander Pierce.

The superhero blockbuster will be released in the UK on May 2nd.
