Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau and Ms. Marvel team up and switch places in new trailer for The Marvels

The new trailer for The Marvels is here.

The latest outing of the Marvel Cinematic Universe sees Brie Larson reprise her hit role as comic-book heroine Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, alongside two of the franchise’s latest breakout stars.

Having made their separate MCU debuts in Wandavision (2021) and Ms. Marvel (2022), Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani both return to our screens as their respective characters Captain Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel.

Directed by Nia DaCosta (Little Woods, Candyman), the film’s plot sees Carol Danvers, a.k.a Captain Marvel, reclaim her identity from the tyrannical Kree only to see her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau.

After his recent starring role in the Marvel television spin-off Secret Invasion, Samuel L. Jackson returns as former head of S.H.I.E.L.D. Nick Fury alongside Saagar Shaikh, Zenoiba Shroff and Mohan Kapur as Kamala’s older brother Aamir, mother Muneebam, and father Yusuf respectively.

Additionally, the film also introduces a couple of newcomers to the MCU including Zawe Ashton (Fresh Meat, Maryland) as the chief antagonist Dar-Benn and Park Seo-joon (Parasite, Itaewon Class) in an undisclosed role.

The Marvels will be released in the UK on 10 November.
