Cameron Diaz makes her long-awaited return to film as a former CIA spy in new Back in Action trailer

A thrilling new trailer has premiered for Back in Action.

The upcoming action comedy marks a long-awaited return to film for Cameron Diaz (The Mask, Charlie’s Angels), almost eleven years after her last on-screen appearance in Annie (2014).

Co-written and directed by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief), the plot centres on former CIA spies Emily (Diaz) and Matt as they find themselves pulled back into espionage after their secret identities are exposed.

Oscar winner Jamie Foxx (Ray, Django Unchained) co-leads the film as Diaz’s on-screen husband Matt, with the rest of the cast rounded off by McKenna Roberts (Skyscraper, Euphoria), Rylan Jackson (Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves), Andrew Scott (Sherlock, Ripley), Jamie Demetriou (Stath Lets Flats, Barbie), Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights, The Wolf of Wall Street), and Glenn Close (Fatal Attraction, Hillbilly Elegy).

Back in Action will be available to watch on Netflix from 17 January.
