Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to leading action roles in The Last Stand trailer

“I’ll be back”. After saying that iconic quote in the Terminator films, Arnold Schwarzenegger has spent almost a decade doing stints as a politician, but to the delight of his dedicated fans, he has returned to Hollywood with a bang courtesy of the first trailer for his new action-thriller The Last Stand!

In this film, he plays Sheriff Ray Owens, a disgraced Los Angeles policeman who has been moved to a small border town but is called into action when a drug baron arrives to do business there. Cue the cheesy lines and explosions!

Oscar-winner Forest Whittaker (The Last King of Scotland, Vantage Point) and Johnny Knoxville (Jackass) co-star in the film which is due out over here on January 25, 2013.

With Arnie appearing in next week’s action-sequel The Expendables 2 as well as appearing alongside Sylvester Stallone in The Tomb (due out next year), it is going to be a dream come true for fans waiting for their idol to explode back onto our screens.

Hasta La Vista babies!
