The tenth television series of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a spin-off from the 2021 outing Hawkeye, and reintroduces us to former criminal gang leader Maya Lopez.

The plot sees Maya return to her hometown where she must come to terms with her past, reconnect with her Native American roots, and embrace her family and community.

Alaqua Cox reprises her breakthrough role as deaf leading character Maya alongside Daredevil stars Vincent D’Onofrio as the sinister Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, and Charlie Cox as the heroic Matt Murdock/Daredevil.

Additionally, the rest of the ensemble cast includes Chaske Spencer (Twilight series, The English), Tantoo Cardinal (Wind River, Killers of the Flower Moon), Devery Jacobs (American Gods, Reservation Dogs), Cody Lightning (Smoke Signals, Brick), and Oscar nominee Graham Greene (Dances with Wolves, Wind River).

In an unusual move, all five episodes of Echo will be made available to watch in its entirety on Disney+ from 9 January 2024.
