An official trailer has been launched for The Apprentice.
After its buzzy premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, the much-talked biopic drama is sure to raise a few eyebrows in its depiction of controversial figure Donald Trump.
Helmed by Ali Abbasi (Border, Holy Spider), the film explores Trump’s early life as an ambitious young property developer across 1970s and 80s New York, as well as his relationship with prosecutor Roy Cohn.
No stranger to fact-based roles, Emmy nominee Sebastian Stan (Captain America trilogy, Pam & Tommy) steps into the daunting shoes of the future US President.
Additionally, the rest of the film’s cast includes Emmy winner Jeremy Strong (Succession, Armageddon Time) as Cohn, Oscar nominee Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, Bodies Bodies Bodies) as Ivana Trump, and Martin Donovan (Big Little Lies, Tenet) as Fred Trump.
The Apprentice will arrive in UK cinemas on 18 October.
