From the mid-80s to the early noughties, Kelsey Grammer was always known to us as beloved Doctor Frasier Crane in the popular sitcoms Cheers and Frasier.
But now and again, he has also ventured into dark roles which include voicing Sideshow Bob in The Simpsons and Stinky Pete in Toy Story 2 as well as his Golden-Globe winning performance as Tom Kane in Boss.
His sinister side is about to be exposed again after Deadline confirmed that the veteran actor will play the main human villain in the upcoming sci-fi blockbuster sequel Transformers 4.
Grammer will play corrupted counter intelligence agent Harold Attinger in the new installment of the robotic series with Michael Bay continuing to direct.
The new-look cast also features Mark Wahlberg (The Departed, Ted) in the lead role with additional support coming from Stanley Tucci (The Lovely Bones, The Hunger Games) and newcomer Jack Reynor (Dollhouse, What Richard Did). In a rather unusual scheme, further castings are being made via a Chinese reality television show.
Transformers 4 will be released in cinemas on June 27th 2014.
