Jeremy Irvine takes on lead role in Woman in Black sequel Angel of Death

Having broke through in the last couple of years with his roles in War Horse (2011) and Great Expectations (2012), Jeremy Irvine is set for another major project after being cast as the lead character in the upcoming Woman in Black sequel Angel of Death.

The young British actor will star in the spooky-thriller which follows on from the original 2012 hit which starred Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter Series).

This particular story, penned once again by author Susan Hill, is set forty years after the events of Woman in Black and focuses on a group of evacuated children who stay at Eel Marsh House during World War II.

Phoebe Fox (Switch, Black Mirror) will co-star in the sequel with the film being directed by Tom Harper (The Scouting Book for Boys).

An official release date has yet to be confirmed.
