The official trailer for House of Guinness has landed.
The much-anticipated historical drama is the latest television production to come from renowned writer and creator Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, SAS Rogue Heroes) and explores an epic story inspired by one of Europe’s most famous and enduring dynasties — the Guinness family.
The eight-part series focuses on the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, the man responsible for the extraordinary success of the Guinness brewery, and the far-reaching impact it has on his four adult children as they set out to make the iconic stout even bigger.
Anthony Boyle (Masters of the Air, Say Nothing), Louis Partridge (Enola Holmes, Pistol), Emily Fairn (The Responder, Saturday Night) and Fionn O’Shea (Normal People, Dance First) lead the cast in the respective roles of Guinness family members Arthur, Edward, Anne and Benjamin.
Additionally, the rest of the impressive ensemble includes James Norton (Happy Valley, War & Peace), Niamh McCormack (The Magic Flute, Everything Now), Seamus O’Hara (Blue Lights, Say Nothing), Michael McElhatton (Game of Thrones, The Long Shadow), Dervla Kirwan (Goodnight Sweetheart, Ballykissangel), Michael Colgan (Marcella, Say Nothing), Danielle Galligan (Shadow and Bone, Kin), David Wilmot (Station Eleven, Bodkin), Jessica Reynolds (Outlander, Kneecap), Hilda Fay (The Woman in the Wall, Spilt Milk), Ann Skelly (The Nevers, The Sandman), Elizabeth Dulau (Maternal, Andor) and Jack Gleeson (Game of Thrones, In the Land of Saints and Sinners).
Audiences can raise a glass to House of Guinness when it premieres on Netflix on 25 September.
