Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt embarks on one final mission in new trailer for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning

A blistering new trailer has premiered for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.

The eighth installment of the hit action series is reportedly set to bring the curtain down on star Tom Cruise’s long-time involvement as heroic spy Ethan Hunt, almost thirty years after the original film made its bow on the big-screen.

Directed again by Christopher McQuarrie, the story follows on from the events of Dead Reckoning (2023) as Ethan and his loyal allies set out to eradicate the destructive AI known as Entity once and for all.

Cruise is joined by a host of familiar faces from across the franchise including Hayley Atwell (Grace), Ving Rhames (Luther Stickell), Simon Pegg (Benji Dunn), Esai Morales (Gabriel), Pom Klementieff (Paris), Shea Whigham (Jasper Briggs), Charles Parnell (Head of NRO), Mark Gatiss (NSA), Indira Varma (DIA), Henry Czerny (Eugene Kittridge), and Angela Bassett (Erika Sloane).

Additionally, the film welcomes a number of new cast additions including Janet McTeer (Tumbleweeds, Ozark), Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation, The Founder), Hannah Waddingham (Game of Thrones, Ted Lasso), Holt McCallany (Mindhunter, The Iron Claw), Katy O’Brian (The Mandalorian, Love Lies Bleeding), Tramell Tillman (Godfather of Harlem, Severance), and Stephen Oyoung (Terminator: Dark Fate, Twisters).

Dead Reckoning will land in UK cinemas on 21 May.
