The official trailer for The Piano Lesson is here.
Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning play of the same name by August Wilson, the period drama is tipped to make a key impact prior ahead of the upcoming awards season.
Directed by Malcolm Washington, the plot follows the lives of the Charles family in ’30s Pittsburgh as they find their relationships tested by a battle over a prized heirloom piano.
Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, The Hateful Eight) and John David Washington (BlacKkKlansman, Tenet) headline a starry ensemble cast that also includes Ray Fisher (Justice League, Rebel Moon series), Michael Potts (The Wire, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom), Erykah Badu (The Cider House Rules, Hand of God), Skylar Aleece Smith (Emancipation, The Cuzzin M Show), Danielle Deadwyler (The Harder They Fall, Till) and Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton, The Color Purple).
The Piano Lesson will arrive on Netflix on 22 November.
