A bizarre new trailer has premiered for Bugonia.

The upcoming sci-fi comedy is an English-language remake of the 2003 South Korean film Save the Green Planet!, and is the latest collaboration between visionary filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos and his two-time Oscar-winning muse Emma Stone (The Favourite, Poor Things).

The plot centres on two conspiracy-obsessed men who kidnap the CEO of a major company when they become convinced that she is an alien seeking to destroy Earth.

Having co-starred alongside Stone in last year’s Kinds of Kindness, Jesse Plemons (Breaking Bad, The Power of the Dog) also features in the film with the rest of the cast rounded off by newcomer Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias (Let’s Start a Cult, Sweethearts), and Alicia Silverstone (Clueless, Blast from the Past).

In the meantime, Bugonia is set for release in the UK on 31 October (a.k.a. Halloween).
