A brutal trailer has premiered for Daredevil: Born Again.
The upcoming Marvel spinoff marks a welcoming return to television for the red-costumed superhero and vigilante after kicking criminal ass in three series of the Netflix effort Daredevil (2015-18).
Created by Dario Scardapane (The Punisher, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan), the plot sees blind lawyer Matt Murdock continue his fight for justice while former mob boss Wilson Fisk pursues his own political endeavours in New York.
When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.
After brief appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022) and last year’s Echo, Charlie Cox reprises his memorable role as Murdock with Vincent D’Onofrio also returning as the dangerous Fisk and his alter-ego Kingpin.
Additionally, Daredevil fans will be delighted to see that original cast members Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson are onboard for the series as Murdock’s loyal companions Karen Page and Foggie Nelson.
After his own spinoff successes in The Punisher (2017-19), Jon Bernthal is also back as vengeful marine-turned-vigilante Frank Castle / Punisher with the rest of the returning cast including Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, and Wilson Blethel as the sinister Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter.
Meanwhile, the series welcomes some new members to the Marvel Cinematic Universe including Michael Gandolfini (The Many Saints of Newark, Bob Marley: One Love), Margarita Levieva (The Deuce, Litvenenko) and Jeremy Isaiah Earl (Chicago P.D., Empire).
Daredevil Born Again will be available to stream on Disney+ from 4 March.
