Aspiring musician Emilia Jones finds herself torn between her family and her dreams in CODA trailer

The official trailer has landed for the new Apple TV+ film CODA.

The coming-of-age dramedy from Sian Heder (Orange is the New Black, Tallulah) is already being touted for awards success after picking up multiple awards at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

An English-language remake of the French film The Bélier Family (2014), the plot centres on a teenage girl with deaf parents, who attempts to help her family’s struggling fishing business while pursuing her own ambitions as a singer.

British starlet Emilia Jones (Patrick, Horrible Histories: The Movie) headlines the film as Ruby Rossi alongside Eugenio Derbez (Overboard, Dora and the Lost City of Gold), Troy Kotsur (The Number 23, Wild Prairie Rose), Ferdia Walsh-Peelo (Sing Street, Vikings), Daniel Durant (Switched at Birth), and Oscar winner Marlee Matlin (Children of a Lesser God, Reasonable Doubts).

CODA will be available to stream on Apple TV+ from 13 August.
