Jodie Comer to star in HBO limited series The Chain

It’s official, Jodie Comer is returning to the world of television!

The multi-award-winning Liverpudlian star has been cast in the lead role of Rachel, a suburban mother who is forced to consider the unthinkable when her daughter is kidnapped in the upcoming HBO limited series The Chain.

The eight-part crime drama is based on the bestselling book of the same by Adrian McKinty and is being brought to the small-screen by Emmy-winning showrunner Damon Lindelof (Lost, Watchmen).

The new role marks a comeback to television for Jodie after finding early success on the small-screen with her BAFTA and Emmy-winning performance as Villanelle in the BBC thriller Killing Eve (2018-22) as well as solid turns in the likes of My Mad Fat Diary (2013-15), Doctor Foster (2015-) and Thirteen (2016).

In the meantime, fans can look forward to seeing Jodie in a number of upcoming films including The Death of Robin Hood, The Last Disturbance of Madeline Hynde and Stuffed.
