The official trailer for Spinal Tap II: The End Continues has arrived.
The upcoming sequel to the acclaimed 1984 music mockumentary This is Spinal Tap welcomes back the members of “one of England’s loudest bands” in what is sure to be a poignant return for fans.
With original director Rob Reiner back behind the camera, the plot sees the now-estranged members of the fictional heavy metal group reunite after a fifteen-year hiatus for one final concert.
As expected, Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer all reprise their memorable roles as bandmates Nigel Tufnel, David St. Hubbins and Derek Smalls, with Reiner also back as documentarian Marty DiBergi.
Additionally, there are also returns for Fran Drescher as Bobbi Flekman, Paul Shaffer as Artie Fufkin, and June Chadwick as Jeanine Pettibone as well as a host of cameos from renowned musicians including Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, Garth Brooks, Questlove, Trisha Yearwood, Chad Smith, and Lars Ulrich.
Spinal Tap II: The End Continues will rock and roll its way into UK cinemas on 12 September.
