A thrilling trailer has arrived for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Billed as the 38th film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the upcoming comic-book sequel is the fourth film in the hit Spider-Man series and is sure to dominate this summer’s box-office takings.

Helmed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Just Mercy, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), the plot follows on from the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) as Peter Parker attempts to reconnect with his former lover MJ and his best friend Ned after their memories of him were wiped away.

However, a threatening physical evolution in Peter forces him to confront both his role as Spider-Man, and a powerful menace who threatens the lives of those he loves.

Once again, Tom Holland reprises his iconic role as Peter / Spidey and is joined by fellow Spider-Man stars Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, and Michael Mando as the sinister Mac Gargan / Scorpion.

Additionally, the new outing also welcomes Marvel veterans Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle / Punisher and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner / Hulk while there are MCU debuts for Sadie Sink (Stranger Things, The Whale), Marvin Jones III (Black Lightning, Shadow Force), Eman Esfandi (King Richard, Ahsoka), Keith David (The Thing, They Live) and Emmy-winning actors Tramell Tillman (Severance, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning) and Liza Colón-Zayas (In Treatment, The Bear).

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will swing its way into UK cinemas on 31 July.
