A humorous trailer has landed for Scary Movie 6.

The upcoming sequel is the sixth instalment in the hit horror spoof series and is set to poke fun at a number of memorable spooky flicks from recent years including Sinners, The Substance and Weapons.

Helmed by Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House, Fifty Shades of Black), the plot sees the Core Four of Shorty, Ray, Cindy and Brenda reunite as they find themselves dealing with horror tropes, cancel culture and their old nemesis Ghostface.

On the cast front, Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans make their long-awaited return to the Scary Movie franchise in their respective roles as Shorty Meeks and Ray Wilkins after their last appearances in Scary Movie 2 (2001).

Additionally, fan-favourites Anna Faris and Regina Hall are also back as Cindy Campbell and Brenda Meeks along with Jon Abrahams as Bobby Prinze, Lochlyn Munro as Greg Phillippe, Dave Sheridan as Doofy Gilmore, Cheri Oteri as Gail Hailstorm and Chris Elliott as Hanson.

Meanwhile, there are a number of new faces to the series including Damon Wayans Jr. (The Other Guys, Let’s Be Cops), Kim Wayans (In Living Color, In the House), Heidi Gardner (Hustle, Shrinking), Olivia Rose Keegan (Gotham Knights, Swiped), Sydney Park (The Walking Dead, Santa Clarita Diet) and Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp, New Fears Eve).

Scary Movie 6 will arrive in UK cinemas later this year.
