The official trailer for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has arrived.
After the universal success of WandaVision, the second television series of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be looking to make even bigger waves for the franchise ahead of its Disney+ premiere.
Created by Malcolm Spellman (Empire), the plot sees Sam Wilson handed the mantle of Captain America six months after the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019). While dealing with his new responsibility, he is soon forced to team up with Bucky Barnes as the pair try to stop a band of anti-patriots, who believe the world was better during the Blip.
Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprise their popular roles as Sam and Bucky, and are joined by fellow Marvel returnees Don Cheadle (James “Rhodey” Rhodes), Daniel Brühl (Helmut Zemo), Emily VanCamp (Sharon Carter), Georges St-Pierre (Georges Batroc), and Florence Kasumba (Ayo).
Additionally, the series also features Wyatt Russell (22 Jump Street, Black Mirror: Playtest), Erin Kellyman (Raised by Wolves, Solo: A Star Wars Story), Danny Ramirez (The Gifted, On My Block), Adepero Oduye (12 Years a Slave, When They See Us), and multi-Emmy winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld, Veep), as mysterious contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will premiere the first of its six episodes on Disney+ on 19 March.
