Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway face an awkward reunion in new trailer for The Dear Wears Prada 2

A devilish trailer has premiered for The Devil Wears Prada 2.

The long-awaited follow-up to the hit 2006 comedy The Devil Wears Prada welcomes back a host of familiar faces and a return to the world of high fashion and workplace politics in what is sure to be one of the most anticipated films of the year.

Helmed by David Frankel and written by Aline Brosh McKenna, the plot sees veteran Runaway Magazine editor Miranda Priestly struggle with both the decline of print journalism, and a new rivalry with her former assistant Emily Charlton, who is now a high-powered executive for a luxury group.

Once again, Oscar-winning stars Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway reprise their iconic roles as Miranda and Andrea Sachs respectively, alongside Emily Blunt as Emily, and Stanley Tucci as Nigel Kipling.

Additionally, the rest of the film’s cast includes Kenneth Branagh (Wallander, My Week with Marilyn), Simone Ashley (Sex Education, Bridgerton), Justin Theroux (American Psycho, The Girl on the Train), Lucy Liu (Ally McBeal, Charlie’s Angels), Patrick Brammall (Evil, Colin from Accounts), Caleb Hearon (Jurassic World: Dominion, Sweethearts), Pauline Chalamet (The Sex Lives of College Girls, Between the Temples), B.J. Novak (The Office, Saving Mr. Banks), Conrad Ricamora (How to Get Away with Murder, Fire Island) and big-screen newcomer Helen J. Shen.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 will arrive in UK cinemas on 1 May.
