A thrilling new trailer for Michael is “he-he” here.
Directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, Southpaw), the upcoming biographical drama delves into the story of one of the most beloved yet controversial figures in music history.
The film focuses on the life of famous musician Michael Jackson, from his time with the Jackson 5 as a child in the late 1960s, to his relentless pursuit of becoming the biggest entertainer in the world.
Newcomer Jaafar Jackson, who is the late singer’s nephew, makes his cinematic debut as Michael with newcomer Juliano Krue Valdi portraying him as a child.
Additionally, the rest of the film’s cast includes Colman Domingo (Rustin, Sing Sing) as Joe Jackson, Nia Long (Friday, Big Momma’s House) as Katherine Jackson, Miles Teller (Whiplash, Top Gun: Maverick) as John Branca, Laura Harrier (Spider-Man: Homecoming, BlacKkKlansman) as Suzanne de Passe, Jessica Sula (Split, Godless) as La Toya Jackson, Kat Graham (17 Again, The Vampire Diaries) as Diana Ross, Larenz Tate (Menace II Society, Rescue Me) as Berry Gordy, Kendrick Sampson (Gracepoint, How to Get Away with Murder) as Quincy Jones, and Derek Luke (Antwone Fisher, Notorious) as Johnnie Cochran.
MJ fans can expect a thriller of a good (or ‘bad’) time when Michael arrives in UK cinemas on 24 April.
