Written and directed by Michael Sarnoski (Pig, A Quiet Place: Day One), the historical drama is a dark reimagining of the Robin Hood legend.

The film follows a much-older Robin as he grapples with his past life of crime and murder. After being gravely injured in a battle, he is offered a chance of salvation by a mysterious woman.

Hollywood superstar Hugh Jackman (Les Misérables, The Greatest Showman) steps into the shoes of the famed Nottingham outlaw in a role previously portrayed on the big-screen by the likes of Errol Flynn, Sean Connery, Kevin Costner and Russell Crowe.

Additionally, prolific Liverpudlian actress Jodie Comer (Killing Eve, 28 Years Later) also features in the film, with the rest of the cast rounded off by Bill Skarsgård (It series, Nosferatu), Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus, Welcome to Chippendales) and Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place, Hamnet).

As of now, there is no official UK release date for The Death of Robin Hood, though it is due to arrive in cinemas later this year.
