George Clooney embarks on a journey of self-discovery and confronts his past in new trailer for Jay Kelly

An official trailer for Jay Kelly has premiered.

The upcoming dark comedy is the latest film from prized filmmaker Noah Baumbach (Frances Ha, Marriage Story) and sees Oscar-winning superstar George Clooney (Syriana, The Descendants) take centre stage in the title role.

The plot centres on a famous film star who embarks on an unexpectedly profound journey through Europe with his devoted manager as they reflect on their life choices, relationships, and legacies.

Clooney is joined in the film by Adam Sandler (Happy Gilmore, Uncut Gems) and Laura Dern (Enlightened, Marriage Story), while the rest of the starry ensemble includes Billy Crudrup (Almost Famous, The Morning Show), Riley Keough (American Honey, Daisy Jones & the Six), Grace Edwards (Call Jane, Asteroid City), Stacy Keach (Fat City, Nebraska), Jim Broadbent (Iris, Paddington trilogy), Patrick Wilson (Angels in America, The Conjuring trilogy), Eve Hewson (Bad Sisters, Flora and Son), Greta Gerwig (Frances Ha, 20th Century Women), Alba Rohrwacher (La Chimera, Maria), Josh Hamilton (Eighth Grade, Maestro), Lenny Henry (Chef!, Missing You), Emily Mortimer (Match Point, The Newsroom), Nicôle Lecky (Mood, Sweetpea), Thaddea Graham (Wreck, Bad Sisters) and Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers, Now You See Me).

Jay Kelly will be released in UK cinemas on 14 November before streaming on Netflix from 15 December.
