A wacky official trailer has premiered for Zootopia 2 (or Zootropolis 2 in the UK!).

The long-awaited follow-up to the Oscar-winning Disney animation Zootopia (2016) takes audiences back to the animal-dominated world of Zootopia and its delightful characters.

Helmed by returning co-writers and directors Jared Bush and Bryon Howard, the story sees rabbit officer Judy Hopps and her fox companion Nick Wilde find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down.

As expected, Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman reprise their original voice roles as Judy and Nick respectively, alongside Idris Elba as Chief Bogo, Nate Torrence as Benjamin Clawhauser, Raymond S. Persi as Flash, Maurice LaMarche as Mr. Big, and musician Shakira as pop star Gazelle.

Additionally, there are some high-profile new additions to the vocal cast including Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once, Loki) as reptile Gary De’Snake, Emmy winner Quinta Brunson (A Black Lady Sketch Show, Abbott Elementary) as quokka Dr. Fuzzby, Fortune Feimster (The Mindy Project, Soul) as beaver Nibbles and Jean Reno as goat police officer Bushron.

Zootopia 2 / Zootropolis 2 will be released in UK cinemas on 28 November.
