A full-length trailer for Nuremberg has premiered.
Based on the 2013 non-fiction book The Nazi and the Psychiatrist by Jack El-Hai, the upcoming war drama explores the key events surrounding one of the greatest trials in history.
Helmed by James Vanderbilt (Truth), the story focuses on how psychiatrist Douglas Kelley was tasked with determining whether Nazi leader Hermann Göring was fit to stand at the Nuremberg trials.
Oscar-winning stars Russell Crowe (Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind) and Rami Malek (Mr. Robot, Bohemian Rhapsody) portray the respective roles of Göring and Kelley alongside an impressive support cast that includes Leo Woodall (One Day, Prime Target), John Slattery (Mad Men, Spotlight), Mark O’Brien (Goalie, Ready of Not), Colin Hanks (King Kong, Fargo), Wrenn Schmidt (For All Mankind, Nope), Lotte Verbeek (The Borgias, Outlander), Richard E. Grant (Withnail & I, Can You Ever Forgive Me?) and Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road, Nocturnal Animals),.
For historians, the Nuremberg trials have already been depicted on film and television through prior productions including the multi-Oscar-winning Judgement at Nuremberg (1961), and the Emmy-winning miniseries Nuremberg (2000).
In the meantime, Nuremberg will be released in UK cinemas on 14 November.
