A lush new trailer has arrived for Materialists.

The upcoming romantic comedy is the second feature film to come from rising filmmaker Celine Song after her critical success with the two-time Oscar-nominated drama Past Lives (2023).

The plot centres on a young New York matchmaker whose lucrative business get complicated when she finds herself torn between the perfect match and her imperfect ex.

Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades trilogy, Cha Cha Real Smooth) takes centre stage as Lucy with Chris Evans (Captain America trilogy, Knives Out) and the prolific Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us, Gladiator II) also featuring as the two men in her life.

Additionally, the rest of the film’s cast includes Zoë Winters (Succession, Jules), Marin Ireland (Sneaky Pete, Eileen), Dasha Nekrasova (Succession, The Beast), Louisa Jacobson (The Gilded Age), Sawyer Spielberg (Honeydew, Masters of the Air), Eddie Cahill (Friends, Miracle), and Joseph Lee (Searching, Beef).

Materialists will be released in UK cinemas on 15 August.
