An action-packed new trailer for Happy Gilmore 2 has premiered.
The long-anticipated follow-up to the hit 1996 sports comedy sees Adam Sandler reprise his iconic role as hot-tempered golfer Happy Gilmore in the upcoming Netflix offering.
Helmed by Kyle Newacheck (Workaholics, What We Do in the Shadows), the plot sees former golf champion Happy set out to make an unlikely comeback to the sport in order to help his family out of a financial hole.
From the original film, Sandler is joined by fellow returnees Julie Bowen as Happy’s lover/wife Virginia Venit and fan-favourite Christopher McDonald as Happy’s old nemesis Shooter McGavin as well as Allen Covert (Otto), Dennis Dugan (Doug Thompson), and Ben Stiller (Hal L.).
Additionally, the sequel welcomes a number of new cast additions including Jake Hoffman (The Wolf of Wall Street, The Irishman), Bad Bunny (Narcos: Mexico, Bullet Train), Benny Safdie (Good Time, Oppenheimer), Margaret Qualley (Maid, The Substance), Scott Mescudi (Don’t Look Up, Trap), Maxwell Friedman (The Iron Claw), and Nick Swardson (The Benchwarmers, Just Go with It) while there are appearances from pro golfers including Rory McIlroy, and Jack Nicklaus.
Happy Gilmore 2 will be looking to deliver a hole-in-one to its audiences when it becomes available to stream on Netflix from 25 July.
