Wallace and Gromit face a former nemesis in Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl trailer

A wacky new trailer has landed for the new Wallace and Gromit film Vengeance Most Fowl.

The long-awaited Aardman Animations adventure is the first on-screen outing for the beloved pair since the 2008 short A Matter of Loaf and Death.

Co-directed by Aardman creator Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham, the plot sees eccentric inventor Wallace build a ‘smart’ gnome that develops an evil mind of its own. When it emerges that a vengeful figure from the past might be masterminding things, it falls to Gromit to try and save the day.

The film marks the welcoming return of villainous penguin Feathers McGraw, who caused havoc during the events of the Oscar-winning short The Wrong Trousers (1993).

Following the death of original voice actor Peter Sallis in 2017, the role of Wallace continues to be filled by Ben Whitehead, who has voiced the character in numerous adverts and games since 2009.

Additionally, Peter Kay reprises his vocal role of Chief Inspector Mackintosh after a memorable appearance in the big-screen outing Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005) while the rest of the voice cast includes Reece Shearsmith (The League of Gentlemen, Inside No. 9), Lauren Patel (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Lloyd of the Flies), Diane Morgan (Motherland, Mandy), Adjoa Andoh (Invictus, Bridgerton), and Sir Lenny Henry (True Identity, Chef!).

Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl will be shown on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Christmas Day.
