Tom Hardy plays both Kray twins in Legend trailer

Playing twins in the same film can be an exhausting task for some actors, just ask Nicolas Cage, Armie Hammer, Lindsay Lohan and Adam Sandler!

The latest big-name star to try out the clever cinematic device is the profile British actor Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises, Mad Max: Fury Road) who has the difficult task of portraying twin brothers Reggie and Ronnie Kray, the most sinister sibling partnership in criminal history.

Appearing through the excellent use of visual effects, Hardy’s double role is glimpsed at in the trailer for the Kray brothers biopic Legend.

Directed by Oscar-winning screenwriter Brian Helgeland (L.A Confidential, Mystic River), the film depicts the Krays’ involvement in the London criminal underworld during the 1950s and 60s.

The thriller’s solid support cast includes Emily Browning (Sucker Punch, Pompeii) as Reggie’s tragic wife Francis Shea as well as Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service), Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who, Thor: The Dark World), David Thewlis (Harry Potter series, The Theory of Everything), Tara Fitzgerald (Brassed Off, Game of Thrones) and Chazz Palminteri (A Bronx Tale, The Usual Suspects).

Legend will be released in the UK on September 11th.
