After discussing sequels to 21 Jump Street and Men in Black 3 in the other article, studio president Doug Belgrad also revealed that the 1995 fantasy adventure Jumanji would be getting a reboot.

In the same interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Belgrad said that he wanted Jumanji to be updated for the modern day.

“We’re going to try and re-imagine Jumanji and update it for the present”

The original which starred Robin Williams, Bonnie Hunt and Kirsten Dunst focused on a mysterious board game that could suck its players into a fantasy world.

Yet again it is clear that my childhood films are being obliterated by the greed of Hollywood who are making the needless decision to update this type of film to suit a modern day audience. It was only made in the nineties!
