Shaun the Sheep Movie sequel in the works

Baaaaaa!!

Everyone’s favourite sheep character Shaun made a strong impression on audiences last year when he and his farmyard companions made their cinematic debut in the hit Aardman animation Shaun the Sheep Movie.

Fans of the film (which was adapted from the 2007 CBBC series) will be pleased to know that Shaun and friends will be back for another woolly adventure following confirmation that a sequel had been green-lit.

Additionally, the follow-up will also include the returns of director Richard Starzak and producer Paul Kewley as well as Aardman and STUDIOCANAL to back it up.

On the news, Aardman executive chairman David Sproxton said;

“Shaun’s move to the big screen proved such a success with audiences around the world that he and the flock are very excited to be embarking on another big screen adventure.

Aardman is partnering with STUDIOCANAL once again to produce another rip-roaring comedy, featuring Shaun and the rest of the gang in a story that takes them to even greater heights of lunacy.”

Filming is due to commence in January 2017 which means that the sequel is unlikely to be released until 2018.

Not baaaaaad Aardman, not baaaaaad….
