Horror films have certainly been the busiest of the big-screen genres with many spooky classics like Final Destination and Saw gaining several spin-offs in order to make more money. The next horror franchise to benefit from this is Paranormal Activity which has just released its fourth film in the series. But the sequels keep coming….

Deadline has reported that Paramount have given the green light for Paranormal Activity 5 to be made with the release date set for Halloween 2013.

The news comes just after the arrival of Paranormal Activity 4 which has just reached cinemas.

The first three films of the series were released in 2009, 2010 and 2011 respectively with Katie Featherstone appearing in all the films so far as the leading character.
