An entertaining trailer for Paddington in Peru is here.
Based on the beloved stories of Paddington Bear by Michael Bond, the third installment of the family adventure series sees our marmalade-loving bear make his long-awaited return to both the big-screen, and his childhood home across the world.
Helmed by Heswall-born music video director Dougal Wilson, the story sees Paddington and his adopted family – the Browns – decide to visit his aunt Lucy in Peru only to find themselves caught in a series of misadventures in South America.
Once again, Ben Whishaw reprises his popular role as the voice of Paddington alongside Imelda Staunton as Aunt Lucy. Additionally, there are also live-action returns for Hugh Bonneville as Henry Brown, Madeline Harris as Judy Brown, Samuel Joslin as Jonathan Brown, Julie Walters as Mrs. Bird, and Jim Broadbent as Samuel Gruber.
Disappointingly, the role of Mary Brown has been recast with Emily Mortimer (Mary Poppins Returns, The Pursuit of Love) stepping in to replace Sally Hawkins following her decision to move on after the first two films.
Meanwhile, BAFTA and Oscar winner Olivia Colman (The Favourite, Wonka) looks to be in scene-stealing form as the Reverend Mother and is joined by fellow Paddington newcomers Antonio Banderas (The Mask of Zorro, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish) as Hunter Cabot, Carla Tous (30 Coins, Venus) as Gina Cabot and Amit Shah (The Hundred-Foot Journey, Happy Valley) as Zayden.
The new film comes ten years after the original Paddington (2014) premiered to solid reviews only to be surpassed by the critically-acclaimed (and cherished) sequel Paddington 2 in 2017.
Paddington in Peru will be released in UK cinemas on 8 November.
