Danny Boyle drops out of directing 25th James Bond film

Five months ago, the 25th James Bond film had a versatile director lined up in the form of Oscar-winner Danny Boyle.

There was plenty of excitement about the Trainspotting and Slumdog Millionaire filmmaker being involved in the latest outing of the successful action franchise.

However it has now been confirmed by the top guns of the project that Boyle has walked away from the sequel owing to ‘creative differences.’

007 actor Daniel Craig and producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson issued a statement on Twitter saying:

“Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig today announced that, due to creative differences, Danny Boyle has decided to no longer direct Bond 25.”

Boyle’s departure comes just months before production was due to begin on the film which is likely to be Craig’s last outing as Bond.

A replacement is currently being sought after with visionary filmmaker Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight trilogy, Dunkirk) amongst those to rule themselves out of directing it.
