Clint Eastwood is a veteran drug trafficker working for the cartel in The Mule trailer

For over fifty years, Clint Eastwood has captivated audiences with his badass performances in films like the Spaghetti Western trilogy (1964-66), the Dirty Harry series (1971-88), Unforgiven (1992) and Gran Torino (2008).

Despite being at the grand old age of 88, the veteran Oscar-winning actor and director is refusing to take things easy particularly with his comeback role in the upcoming crime thriller The Mule.

The film’s official trailer has been unveiled and is available to watch below:

Eastwood directs and stars as Earl Stone, a WWII veteran who desperately tries to make money by working as a drugs courier for the cartel. However his new career catches the attention of the DEA which forces him to cover his tracks.

Bradley Cooper (Silver Linings Playbook, A Star is Born) co-stars as DEA agent Colin Bates with the rest of the cast including two-time Oscar-winner Dianne Wiest (Hannah and her Sisters, Edward Scissorhands), Michael Pena (Crash, Ant-Man and the Wasp), Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix trilogy, Hannibal), Taissa Farmiga (American Horror Story, The Nun), Alison Eastwood (Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Finding Harmony) and Andy Garcia (The Untouchables, Ocean’s trilogy).

A UK release date is not yet known for the film though it will be out in America on 14th December.
