A dinosaur and a young boy become unlikely friends in official trailer for Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur

With their latest film Inside Out due to hit UK cinemas next week, Pixar are already setting up their next big-screen outing for later this year.

Prehistoric animations normally tend to do well with audiences especially in the cases of The Land Before Time (1988) and Ice Age (2002). Their sequels are a different story….

Pixar’s own take on the land that time forgot is presented before us in The Good Dinosaur, which premiered its newest trailer earlier today.

Directed by Pixar animator Peter Sohn (Partly Cloudy), the story depicts an alternative world where dinosaurs were never made extinct. One particular creature, an Apotasaurus named Arlo, ends up befriending a human boy which leads to the pair embarking on a journey together.

Young newcomer Raymond Ochoa voices Arlo with more familiar vocal support coming from Oscar-winner Frances McDormand (Fargo, Moonrise Kingdom), Anna Paquin (The Piano, True Blood), Sam Elliott (Mask, The Golden Compass), Jeffrey Wright (Casino Royale, Boardwalk Empire) and Steve Zahn (Stuart Little, Modern Family).

The Good Dinosaur will be released in the UK on November 27th.
